Every
single day lack of nutrition and treatable sickness cost the lives of
more than 25,000 children worldwide. This means that every 3 seconds
a child dies. To fight this tragedy, a group of industry related people
created Mission 500, with volunteers and no administrative cost. The
funds are transferred to World Vision who knows how to better distribute
and administer this important cause. This institution has excellent history
with over 50 years experience in this field. For every dollar given 87
cents goes directly to those children in need. With over 100 countries,
World Vision influences the lives of more than 2 million children providing
basic benefits such as food, clothing, health, education, housing, drinkable
water, sickness control and prevention among others. Working in conjunction
with local community leaders, their philosophy is to teach the less fortunate
to become self sufficient. In order to do this, money is needed and you
can make a difference with each dollar you give. To support a child only
costs US$30,00 per month, only US$1 per day to feed, dress, educate and
take care of the health of a child. To date, Mission 500 has over 140
sponsored children. Some of the sponsoring companies are Altronix, Access
Technologies Inc., Expo Seguridad Mexico, GE Security Latin America,
HID Global, LRG Marketing Communications, Samsung GVI, Security Products
magazine & SIA (The Security Industry Association). In addition,
over 30 industry professionals have personally agreed to sponsor children
via this program. To obtain more information on how to support Mission
500, go to www.mission500.org
