ALAS names a
new education coordinator
Carolina
Rincón is the new education coordinator
for ALAS. Carolina graduated with a degree in
Tourism & Administration and has experience
in marketing and administration. In conjunction
with the ALAS team, Carolina will be responsible
for the projection and organization of ALAS courses
in Latin America. Carolina replaces Lorena Bouwer,
who did a great job for ALAS in Latin America
and has now decided to work elsewhere. We wish
Lorena great success in her new venture. You

CCTV I course
in Mérida
With the sponsorship of Sistemas Integrales
de Automatización, S.A. de C.V. (SIASA), an
ALAS member, ALAS Mexico held for the
first time, the CCTV I course in the city of
Mérida, Yucatán. This course took
place on November 26 & 27 and was attended
by 17 people. The lecturer was Ismael Almada
Diego, an ALAS instructor. ALAS Mexico would

Sixth Edition
of Expo Seguridad Mexico
Expo
Seguridad Mexico will take place
from April 22 - 26 of 2008 at the Banamex convention
center in Mexico City. With more exhibitors,
more visitors, 12.000 square meters of exhibits,
a complete program of conferences and a variety
of special events. Expo Seguridad Mexico is the
main electronic security event in Latin America.
The event started in 2003 and in the past 5 years
has united the Mexican electronic security industry
like no other event. This has become an international
event with visitors from different countries
which attended the 2007 version. The 2008 version
will be attended by the following confirmed companies:
Andover Controls, Bosch, DSC, GE Security, Honeywell,
