Luis
González Nogales, VicePresident of Ultra de Nicaragua
(Ultranic) was elected as new ALAS president, with 93% of
submitted votes. Luis González is a security specialist
with more than 25 years of experience. During this next
year (July 2006 – July 2007), he will take over the
position of President Elect and will work in conjunction
with the current President, Carlos Fernández Valerio,
to learn how to manage the association and take over the

in the ALAS member assembly
On
July 20th during AFSE Miami, the ALAS general member assembly
meeting took place. During this event, ALAS President, Carlos
Fernández Valerio and ALAS Mexico President Jaime
Oliva Reyes reported on the July 2005- July 2006 results.
At the same time, the election process was shared as well
as the name of the new 2007- 2008 ALAS President Luís

Meeting
ALAS
Mexico celebrated their first Technological Encounter on
March 29 at the Centro Libanés, in Mexico City. As
sponsor of this event, Pelco hosted a conference “Challenges
for the digital future of CCTV”, and exhibited their
latest advances on a table top at the table set for that
purspose. Other 5 table tops displayed complementary services
for the sector. The Technological Meeting was created by
ALAS Mexico to gather manufacturers, distributors, consultants
and end users for business opportunities. 91 people went
to this event and enjoyed appetizers and Spanish wine!!

graduate with at least 4 years of country engineering or

The second position is for a Development Manager and it
includes technical studies as well as a minimum of 15 years
experience in the management of international projects and
