The Latin American Security Association will hold its member assembly on July 26, 2007 at 10.00am and will take place at the Miami Beach FL Convention Center.
The main topics of discussion will be:  

1. Carlos Valerio, the current standing president, will be discussing the ALAS 2006 – 2007 activity.
2. Investiture of Luis González Nogales, as the newly elected ALAS President.

 George Fletcher to be Honored at 2007 Tri-Association Awards Dinner
George Fletcher, president, DMF Consulting, and ALAS BOD member, will be honored at the Festival of Lanterns, the 2007 Tri-Association Awards Dinner in New York City on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at The Lighthouse on Chelsea Pier 61. Hosted jointly by The Security Industry Association (SIA), the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) and the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA), this year’s event will bring the delights and wonders of the eastern world to the banks of the Hudson River. George Fletcher, a past SIA treasurer and industry group chair will be presented SIA’s highest honor – the George R. Lippert Memorial Award.
During the event, Stan Martin, executive director SIAC will also be honored with the Triton Award, which was established in 2004 to recognize an individual who contributed significantly to the advancement of the industry though the initiatives of SIA, NBFAA and CSAA. A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE), a national, nonprofit organization created by students for students that promotes the virtues of civility and respect by helping students of all ages learn how to care for other people.
