Successful
ALAS participation at ISC Brazil

The
first ISC fair in Brazil took place at the Transamerica
Convention Center in São Paulo on Aug 30, 31 &
Sep 1 with the successful participation of ALAS. ALAS held
the alarm course ALAS CANASA level 1, where 19 people participated.
ALAS was thrilled as this was the first course of the Association
in Brazil and this represents the beginning of academic
success and recognition as the rest of Latin America. At
the same time, on a commercial level, ALAS had a booth at
the fair whereby marketing material was distributed and
many companies demonstrated interest in becoming members.
The Association would like to thank Dalton Art, VP of ALAS
in Brazil and Lilian Art, ALAS coordinator in Brazil, who
are responsible for this success in Brazil.

SIA
to produce market study on Brazil
The
Security Industry Association (SIA) has issued an RFP for
a report of the electronic security market – both
present and future – that exists in Brazil. SIA feels
that there is no more important activity than increasing
market intelligence for product demand and services in key
economically emerging marketplaces. To ensure the success
of this project in Brazil, SIA is seeking a market research
organization, preferably Brazilian, which specializes in
security, electronics, or IT to conduct a market study.
The result of the study will be a definitive report that
defines, quantifies, and forecasts the electronic security
industry in Brazil. Companies interested may download the
